I'd like to check Amex and Discover to see if I'm pre-approved for any cards. Is there any harm in checking? I.e., if no pre-approvals, does it hurt your chances later?
Thanks for any insight.
There's no harm in checking for pre-approvals. Just remember that they don't really mean that much.

Just the disappointment that could follow applying anyways. My husband keeps getting preapproved offers from Amex in his email for the Blue Preferred, but, they declined him when he applied..lol.. But, they still keep sending the preapprovals.

Preapprovals don't mean ........ I always watch this forum for possible approvals. I used to get preapprovals all the time in the mail, but I canceled them through the big 3 ex, exp.trans 2 yrs ago.
