Around half of the posts on this thread are sincere, while the other half are 'in jest'.

To avoid confusion, we should really keep it either one or the other... if we go with 'in jest' this thread should possibly be moved to the SmorgasBoard.

I'm sure KQ meant it properly, but there are a lot of these threads, and we generally have very little information until something is advertising and very close to launching. All of them turn in to speculation about what we'd like to see by the time the thread reaches its second page. I was just speeding the process up. :-P

Re: Any new cards out in 2016?

In all honesty the best new card that came out and will fall into 2016 is the Discover card.

10% cashback with apple pay up to 10k until 12-31-15

Double cashback up to the the month you regisitered 1% - 5%, which will be part of 2016.

Apple pay is the best reward promotion going, period.

So lets see what discover will do in 2016.

Personal Cards: Amex Delta Res | CSR | Citi AA Exec | Citi Strata Premier Business Cards: Ink+ | Amex BBP

The 10% apple pay won't reach into 2016. We also don't know that the double cash promotion will still be accepting signups in 2016.

I stated that it will be until 2015.

The point I was making is that there is a card out there that individuals may have that may offer better rewards into 2016 and as I said we will see what 2016 brings.

Discover didn't need to have a different card offering for their promotion and I think they made a big impact in the CC market because to this.

Also, I do think they may keep the 1% double cashback and pay annually to compete with Citi DC.

Impossible to know but I can't see anyone beating the Discover double cash back.  10% on category purchases, anywhere from 10-40% on Discover Deals and 2% on general spend is pretty insane.  I'm saving up my cashback for an awesome beginning of the summer bonus Smiley Happy

I see Amex has a plenti card. But is Chase, Citi or CO coming out with anything? All I see is travel and airlines cards which aren't useful to me.

If there's anything new, you'll hear about it from Ron1 before you hear about it from the lender Smiley Very Happy
