Any reasons to consider Amex Premier Rewards Gold card- My 22nd credit card

I have too many credit cards- Almost one dedicated for each use mainly from rewards point of view. Gas, Restaurants, Fast food, Air travel, Amazon etc.

I am not a great fan of Amex so PRG was never attractive to me - let alone $175 per year fee.

Am I missing anything by not having it?

Please share your opinions.

Unless you are going to use AMEX PRG for all your grocery shopping/gas/travel needs, redeem the points for travel miles, can push $30,000 through the card a year (they're give you a bonus of 15,000 points), and will attend any of their gold events (assuming you are living in a city where Amex gold events are held), I see very little point in getting one.

Citi Double Cash: $1,000
Capital One Secured: $500
Capital One Savor One: $1,650
Amex Gold- NPSL.
Amex Platinum- NPSL.
Amex Delta Gold: $1,000
Best Buy Store Credit Card: $2,000
Amazon Store Credit Card: $6,000
Verizon Visa Card: $2,000

Bj's Perks Elite Mastercard: $2,300

Merrick Credit Card: $1,400
First Savings Credit Card: $1,250

Thanks.

How much are RPG 15000 points worth from $30,000 spending.

I can spend same $30,000 and get over $800 real green dollars easily inclusive of 5% rotating cash back.

I think this card could be beneficial if you travel frequently and run a lot of airline tickets thru the card for the bonus MR points. You'll have to do a cost / benefits analysis to see if the $175 AF would make sense for your situation.

If you are opting for a amex charge anyways, I would app for the PRG since the fee is waived the first year, and then downgrade to green or cancel it altogether.
