Want to close out my CSP and move line to CSR. Anyone know what you have to leave on CSP? Is it $5k because a signature or the usual $500-1000?.......... UPDATE: So I was able to move all but $500 from the CSP before closing.
Does Chase allow you to consolidate the entire CL and then just close the CSP like CapOne does with their account consolidation feature? I'm in the same boat as OP.
I was able to move over all but 1000 dollars from my CSP but that's because I had run stuff through it in the last 30 days even though my balance was at 0 at the time. I was ok with that and closed it anyway, it's super redundant compared to the CSR.

No need to have it at 5k. My DW had a Freedom 1k and CSP 6k, moved 2k to Freedom (to 3k) and the CSP was 4k. The didn't remove the Visa Signature on it.
You can close the card with only $500 limit if you have used it in the last 60 days (?), or $0 if not. My DW just closed her Freedom with $0 limit and now her CSP has 7k.
Given my spending patterns, the CSP fits my needs at the moment so I wouldn't switch over to the CSR. Plus I rather enjoy my Amex Plat
I was able to move full amount when I closed my CSP and Marriott last month. When I closed my amazon card through Chase I had to leave $500 on it.
