I did last night seems they want to add more benefits to the Platinum card with the mess around lounge access/non-access with United and American....The two benefits they wanted me to rate were.....a statement credit for a day pass at United and American lounges...up to $200 a year....I said it was kind of a waste now that those that wanted lounge access already got Chase and Citi cards that do that so that benefit really would be useless (to me anyway). The second one was similar to what Citi Prestige offers, buy ANY airline ticket through AMEX and use LESS MR points for it...I believe Prestige started this a few weeks ago with TY points, but for only American tickets....so it is nice AMEX is trying to keep up and trying to bring back some worth to Platinum, but I mentioned I would like to see MORE MR points for purchases like the "lower" end ED and EDP and to be able to transfer MR to American and United...I mean I could probably transfer MR to Starwood and then to American and United but seems roundabout. What do you guys/gals think about the new proposed benefits??
