Anyone with CCCU?

I've just read in BK friendly ccc's that CCCU(Community Christian Credit Union) is one of choice. Does anyone have any experience with this card? I just read T&C's(terms & conditions), and they seem VERY favorable....TU: 649; EXP: 647(have had 3 late pays...30 days, in past 12 months;4 over a year old...30 days also)Thanks myFiCO!

You might have a decent shot at one of their cards. I was turned down with a smaller EX FICO score than you have, but the CSR Manager called and talked with me and explained that it was not because I had a bad credit report, and then told me what to do to come back in six months and pass.

Re: Anyone with CCCU?

When my EX was 605 they gave me a 5K CL.

I was a turning point in my credit rebuild.

Your report has to handle a manual review more than a score, DTI is very important to them as well.

Re: Anyone with CCCU?

i asked for 5000 and they offered me 2500, is that because i dont have a cc with a 5000 limit. my score when i applied was good(700) all acc was in good standards even my paid collections from over 2yrs ago.  maybe they will raise it in 6months, hopefully.  also my dti is very good.  why do you think they only offered 2500

Re: Anyone with CCCU?

I think they have their own formula.
I had zero Ca's and a great DTI.

This WAS my highest CL. Capital One and NEW Jupiper have matched or beat it afterwards. AMEX is holding it's breath with me.

BTW -I asked for 10K-knew they would never give me 10K.

Oh yeah, I think eveyone on this board have either got or applied for this credit card. It's a really great card to have. I'm not trying to rub anything in for those who were denied or have not yet applied.

Re: Anyone with CCCU?

i received a call yesterday from cccu at my job, i thought they was just verifying the job #, no not at all,  they stated that 1- they couldnt locate my home address, which i explained how could that be when i received mail from them the nite before, so after clearing that up, 2-  thing was they cl they granted me (2500) was being changed to 1000, wow thats a big difference.  considering i request 5000, i was content with 2500, but to then have it reduced to 1000,Smiley Mad i started to just say forget it..   i will use it once maybe twice for very small purchases, then its going live in the draw until a major increase takes place. tammy allen was who i spoke with who told me i had a 2500 cl and that i need to fax some info back to her, which i did and everything was complete.  now a week and a hlf later i  received a call from some other loan agent telling me this.Smiley Mad  sorry just need to vent.  yesterday they sent me checks today they sent me a letter of approval, stating that i have a 2500cl... now i have mixed feelings about cccu
