After successfully completing DMP few months ago I decide to revive my credit files by going on an application spree. I enrolled my CHASE MC in the DMP program and all my CC accounts were closed that time. I requested for reopening the account but they decline my request.
So I decided to apply for the CHASE freedom card online and got the 30-day response message. CHASE CSR/Fraud department called me few days ago to confirm some information, which I promptly gave to them. After the call, the lady told me that the application will be forwarded to another department for consideration and I should expect a response in 7-10 business days.
My question to members who have experience with CHASE CC applications is whether the 7-10 business day reply constitute a denial. Does anyone got approved after going through this kind of scrutiny?
Thanks. If you don't mind sharing how long was your processing time.
What was your FICO score?
What is your CL approved?
Wow! Thanks for the quick response. 783 is quite high and I believe you got a sizeable CL. Did they offer you any promotional APR? Say 6 months 0% or 12 months? Any 0% BT promotion? They pulled my TU and it was 643 at that time with an 11 months old collection.
Please let me know what kind of promotion you got. I believe they give $50 bonus for the first purchase? Is that right.

Believe it or not I have not even looked at what BT items are possible. I am not a fan of BT and would only do that in an extreme situation. My lack of knowledge about what they offered me keeps me out of trouble. I applied for several cards in March simply as a hedge against my other cards(esp AMEX) doing a CLD on me. Just trying to stay ahead of the game.
