Well I recieved my first ever non approval today. What an awful feeling, but I should have known better after 2 recent hard pulls. Two weeks ago I was approved for the AMEX Green, and then for the Discover IT ($6,500 CL) a few days later. I've also had a BOA secured since Dec. 2012. But I couldn't help but pull the trigger on the AMEX BCE. I got an instant non approval. I'm hoping they used a soft pull since I'm an existing cardmember. I guess I'll wait 6 months and show good payment history on the Green b4 app'n again. Any thoughts?
TU FICO: 723 (6/24/13)Thats the plan i would use. If not even possibly wait a yr. Then you would be more likely to get a higher limit. I would imagine.

Congrats! I have applied for the BCE like you have and I have yet to be approved. They don't like inquiries from what gets sent in my denial letter, and I think it is best if you take the advice of the above posters and wait 6 months or maybe a year. The BCE, BCP, and SPG are the hardest Amex revolvers to be approved for.

I believe if you are a current member and are denied they only use a soft pull.

I know how you feel.. Personally, when I get approved for 1 or 2 cards, I can't help myself and apply for even more.. Like an addiction.. Here's my recent spree AFTER I applied for the Amex TrueEarnings and got approved, I went nuts and applied for some more and got them too.. And then I app'd for some more stuff and finally got denied by BofA and PenFed - yet again.. Tried them back in Feb.. They don't like my 6yr 11mth foreclosure that still shows on my report.. The only negative.. Give amex a good 3 months to burn in and then app again with them.. Good luck..
