I currently get 3% cashback on groceries, and I was compiling a list of any cards that got better than that as it's my highest spending category that I don't get 5% in. I THINK that for me, the Citi Custom Cash is probably my best bet for a 5% card, since I don't buy enough groceries per year to make the annual fee on AMEX BCP 6% make sense.
Then I started to wonder what the best card was for each category. I started compiling THAT list, and realized that surely someone has already made this list before!
Is there an app or a website where you can just plug in "grocery" and it spits out the highest % cashback cards for grocery? Or any other category for that matter.

Reddit has relatively comprehensive lists for the best cash back cards by category.
There are not a whole lot of cards that get 5% on groceries all year long. The AAA Daily Advantage Visa Sig definitely comes to mind.

That's a nice list, thank you for the link!

Wow, I haven't heard of that one, that's a nice reward card! Looks like it's backed by Comenity Bank though. Isn't that one of the banks people don't like? I don't think I've ever had one of their cards, it's just something I've read.

I've read that too. But I think, for the most part, most of those who have received the AAA cards have been happy with minimal/no complaints.

That card is amazing. Other than them classifying it as a charge card on my report for some reason. The cashback comes pretty quick and I can easily add it to my bank account.
The rewards category are astounding as well
