Hello, I'm new here. I've been doing a lot of reading on here this past month. I have a question about being approved for an Apple Card. Has anyone been approved with late payments on their report? I've seen a lot of people with high credit score saying they've been denied becuase of 1-2 late payments that were 2+ years old.
From what I have seen its pretty YMMV with no real clear pattern. You could always go through the app process to find out, they don't do a hard pull unless you are approved and accept the offer.
Thanks for your reply! I'm not interested in applying just yet since I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit. I was just curious because l've read about the card here and on Reddit and it seems like having a late payment is a no-go lol
There is no HP from starting the application process. It is one of the nicer features of this card. You go through the application steps, they tell you if you will qualify, and if you qualify they tell you the credit limit and APR you will receive. There is no HP through all of that.
Only after you accept the offer does the application proceed to HP and issuing the card.
Any speculation you get here about whether you will get an Apple Card is utterly useless. Only Goldman Sachs Bank can tell you.
Good luck.
I was recently approved for an Apple Card with an $8,500 SL and 15.99% APR. I have multiple late payments (as recent as December 2018) on my credit reports. So yes, you can get approved for an Apple Card with late payments on your report.
