I've been paying my balancet his way since i got it and it's probably one of my favorite features because the limit gets restored immediately. I personally hate carrying a balance and seeing huge numbers spent. I much prefer to pay things down weekly or so to give me piece of mind, so the Apple card is perfect when it comes to this.
Sorry but I'm not about to put my money in the hands of Green Dot.
Don't really see what the big deal is. You load it to your Apple cash card, and then pay your card off. It's on the card for five seconds.

I have to give them access to my bank account. That's a **bleep** no. 🤷♂️

I load it through my debit card.

I don't use my debit card period.
I will just keep using ACH. It's not like I actually put enough on the card for it to matter if my limit isn't restored for a week.

So when Green Dot is hacked, the thieves will just have access to your entire bank account and routing number, rather than your debit card number that's easier to replace. Seems weird if you don't trust them, no?

Umm I do ACH pull through GS to pay my Apple Card. The only thing Green Dot does is hold my cash back until I spend it.
@Anonymous wrote:My Apple Card takes like a week to restore the limit after I make a payment. Its very obnoxious since I've had the card since August without a single payment issue.
Wow. My payment posts immediately and the limit is restored at the same time.
Honestly? Apple Pay is available virtually everywhere I shop, so I use this a lot--especially because I'm frequently at Walgreens (3%) and I pay for my Apple services and subscriptions with it. In my opinion, every online/autopay purchase should be coded for 2%. If it were, I'd never have gotten the PayPal Cashback I just got.
I was curious about a CLI since I only got the card in March. I'd slapped my car insurance on it in April, so I was curious if that would make a difference to them. March spend was $350. April $1065. I figured it was too early, but asked anyway. They bumped it up a little instantly--via text--from $2500 to $3k. $500 is $500. I just have no incentive to keep that $600 insurance bill on there every month when I can plop it somewhere else and get more back for it. 😕 I like the management interface and would use it more if it were a flat 2% across the board.

Apple Pay is not universally available from my experience. This, coupled with the lack of a flat 2% (or even 1.5%) on the physical card, keeps it on a much less-desirable status for me.
I also only converted to iPhone in the past year and it troubles me that if I were to want to switch away from Apple products, there is no separate app or website to manage the card through.
It's intrinsic to the iPhone itself. It's my opinion that Apple did this purposefully as one of many ways they tie their users loyalty to their overall platforms. That's also a turn-off for me because it feels manipulative. I don't plan to cancel my card but I don't see it getting heavy use. I've mainly just used it for fast food, coffee, and Walgreen's. I don't use Apple services or subscriptions.

Yeah it would be nice if they would at least have full wallet functionality on the iPad. If the leaked pricing for the iPhone 12 sticks, which seems suspicious if they're including 5G which definitely will be costing Apple more, I'll stick with Apple for another upgrade cycle but if my suspicions of the 12 Pro Max being around $1400 come to fruition, I'm probably going to jump back to Android and since the iPad doesn't have full functionality (you can pay your bill though) I'll end up canceling my Apple Card if I make that jump.
@Anonymous wrote:I know Apple Card doesn't get a ton of love on these forums, but I've been using mine for about four months and I really like it. For me, the best feature is that the statement period always closes on the last calendar day of the month, and the due date is alwasys the last calendar day of the next month. This means a longer grace period than any of my other cards in most months.
This works really well for me, as I am paid monthly, and my direct deposit hits on the second to last business day of every month. Thus, I can PIF in the last day or two of the month using the paycheck I just received, and have Apple Card report a zero balance (although they only report to TU at the moment). If I can't PIF before the statement closes, I can PIF at the end of the next and still not pay any intrest.
Are there any other cards out there that have a similar statement/due date cycle? If so, I'd be very interested in them.
I mean the apple card looks very nice and it's metal.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the 2 and 3 multipliers are only be able to use when you use apple pay?
I would like to take out my card and swipe things. Or when I go to restaurants and slap that bad boy to hear the ding. Would have been much more popular if the 2% was when you use the card too?
