Applied online for priceline visa and got application processing message. Did any one had luck in getting approved by Barclay? I never seemed to have luck in getting any thing approved by them.

I posted the information regarding the Priceline card here months ago and this is the first post I've seen on the subject since.

What reason does Barclay/Juniper offer up when they deny your app?

If I remember correctly when I posted the information on this card there was no way to determine the value of the rewards.

Re: Applied for priceline visa

Thanks creditwherecreditisdue.. The process very fast. within 30 mins I had two emails. One allowed me to setup my account online. And the second welcomed me to paperless billing, which I opted for during the application process.

Does any know when they report to the CR?

Re: Applied for priceline visa

Answered my own question this morning.. And I apologize for the typo errors above.  I applied on Tuesday 1/5/09 setup account online same day. Pulled Ex report this morning using freecreditreport.com and they are already report to Ex. I am loving the Priceline Rewards Visa already (Barclays Bank).

Hey also if needed here is the reconsideration number (866-408-4064) if you do receive a decline you can call this number and have a high success rate for a manual credit review.  They do look at more than just your credit score, I was approved with a 660 TU score and my wife was declined with a 701.  Difference I have 30 accounts showing up over 8.5 year history and my wife only has 6 over 9 years. She was given a declined for limited credit history initially.

Re: Applied for priceline visa

I Love Barclays Bank.. Update as of 4/9/2010...  I called and requested a CLI after being approved on 1/5/10.. Increased my Priceline Visa credit limit from $1,000 to $2,000... After two billing statements (not automatic I called and requested).  I also applied for a Barclays Itunes rewards visa...  Approved for $3000 limit.. Both hard pulls on Transunion.. Original score TU 660 on 1/5  now 696 0% utilization at time of app for 2nd card last night..  Several new accounts reporting, car shopping in March several inquiries I explained to reconsideration dept.  And then approved for $3000 seperate limit from priceline visa tradeline.

Re: Applied for priceline visa

I received an initial decline and reviewed the decline letter online. It showed a TU score of 710 but insufficient credit history, bad ratios and utilization as reasons. I called the reconsideration number and was approved for a $2,500 limit. This was the no fee version but they said I would receive get favorable consideration for the annual fee one with better rewards after 4-6 months of payment history on this one. I'm fairly happy with that. I have a 2004 ch 7 and made the mistake of going cash only from 2005-2009. Since then though I've had 3 car loans, 3 gas cards and Walmart, one Credit Union card with a $10,000 limit and a perfect payment history. Call, be polite and persistent.
