Applying for another Amex and 3xCLI

I was thinking of applying for another AMEX in the near term. Will this affect my chances of getting a 3xcli on an existing amex I have?

Good question OP, I'd like to know as well. Also, would requesting a 3X CLI lower chances of approval for another Amex card?

I got a 5,500 Limit, then got my 3x to 16,500 and applied for another card. I got approved for 2k lol, I'm sure the recent CLI affected the new card's limit. My scores are 700+ across all 3 Fico (mortgage pull)

I think Amex has their own internal "risk score." Once you are outside this range, I suppose future cards and/or CLI's could be affected. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
