Even if Amex does not report within next two months, Discover will report fairly quickly.
I know you're seeing people with 30+ cards, but what you're not seeing is how long it took them to get there.
Each profile is different, and what works for one person may not work for another.
@Anonymous
The part in red is exactly what my (and I suspect some other's) gripe is. You can't climb Mount Everest in a day, credit is a marathon not a sprint etc. You already have a lot of cards for such a young profile, take a break, let them age a bit, and then make your next move. The risk with going nuts on app sprees on a young profile is the banks may see it as aggressive credit-seeking behavior and wonder what's wrong with your finances, even if you're perfectly above board.
As far as the BCE goes, like I said I just don't think it makes sense given what you already have (DiscIt, Freedom), and how they offer much better cashback than the BCE anyway.
Thanks for that link, checking it out. @Jfriend33

SIgn into your account through MyFico and look at your dashboard, your three scores should be there. You only get one ultimate 3B report every three months unless you want to pay the $59.95 to get them monthly, but I don't see a point in that. The report is always available through your dashboard. It's a great way to monitor your credit and usage.
@Anonymous, you can get your report updated every month if you want @$40

Yea dont forget this, its going to take Amex 2 months to report. Who knows why.

I know this is a stretch, but you could double dip and go for the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Preferred. It won't be super easy but its the only way you can easily get both cards without waiting 2 years or for a preapproval.Chase won't issue a second Sapphire product anymore.
OP, an easy way to get your three FICO8s and reports is to sign up for a $1 trial at CreditCheck Total, then canceling before the trial period has ended.
stop spreading misinformation. its not true. and thousands of data points to prove otherwise. you apply for them on the same day. only loophole for those < 5/24.
why on earth this person here is taking bits and pieces of info and using it as THEY want to, well guess what, its their credit, and you have to learn from your mistakes. there are far far far better cards than the BCE. but seeing as how they only got 2k for an approval.... it will be a year or two till it has a decent limit.
i would strongly encourage the OP here to evaluate their annual income, what spending they do in which categories, if they travel or not, and really start optimizing things before doing any damage.
since you did get the amex please google amex 3x CLI. you could have also gotten an amex charge card the same day using hte same HP. like a PRG with 50k points after 1k spend in 90 days and 195 af waived plus 100x2 on air credits.....
Bottom line, yeah, in retrospect, it was probably a stretch that op's profile would support a 10k approval on a reserve....but still they should have got the preferred and freedom, discover, and called it a day. IMO.

Agreed.
Taking it one step further, I strongly recommend signing up with a prepaid gift card with only $1 left on it. This way you won't get any unpleasant surprises in case the cancellation doesn't go through or you don't have time to wait 2 hours on the phone.
are you kidding me? you are spreading misinformation about chase bank, while bashing the very site you're on, on how to avoid paying what you owe them? wow. its a membership. if you dont need it, cancel it before the 30 days is up. but using a prepaid gift card that could potentially cause issues, that is just knee jerk advice, worse than my chase double dipping lol.
The rest of actually read your comment thoroughly and know what you were trying to say so don't even worry about it Arkane. Cheers!

Are YOU kidding me, nowhere did I even mention Chase nevermind "bash" it. And if you actually read what you quoted, you'd know I was talking about CCT not myFICO. Seriously, it's right there in your quote. Smh
