Hi all,
I got the Citi Diamond Preferred in April 2020 primarily for the 0% interest for 21 month offer. I used the card for some purchases and balance transfers and finished paying it off a few months ago. Today I received an offer to product change to the Citi Rewards+. I have better CC options than both of these cards, and I don't care about any SUB the Rewards+ might have as I dont want the HP ( I am 8/24 ).
What I would like to know is if I PC to the Citi Rewards+ now would I be able to apply for the Citi Diamond Preferred again after some time and to get another 21 months of 0% interest?
I'm not aware of any restrictions on Diamond Preferred re-apps. Really the only bonus on sign up is 0% on purchases, for 12 months.
The "bonus" on balance transfers to get the 0% for 21 months looks like a 5% fee. So it's not like they're giving you $200 to sign up.
I did a product change to Rewards+ when that card came out after my BT was paid off on DP. I have received constant pre-selected mailers and emails from Citi for DP since, so I definitely agree that there are likely no restrictions on getting the card again soon after product changing. If they allowed limit reallocations, I would go for another one in a heartbeat.
