Finally after 5 days of waiting, .... Approved for CLEAR (3k CL). I applied for AMEX SPG and Clear on the same day ( 1 EX pull ), approved for SPG (2k CL) but did not get a decision for Clear until today. I'm expecting for this 2 cards to backdate to 1995 like my Zync and should bump up my scores. Also approved for Barclays iTunes for 2100 CL. Gardening for six months. Thanks everyone.
btw: Still waiting for my iTunes card but found out last night that Barclays already reporting it to CB.
Congrats, you're haveing an AMEX party.

Do you know your EX FICO by any chance?

Congrats on the new Amex cards! Hopefully the backdating will occur after your first billing cycle. I am patiently waiting to see if my Clear and Gold PR cards backdate... =)
Congrats! Also got approved for Zync and Clear on the same day, 1 EX pull. Score was 730 for me (from the Zync letter that accompanied my card).
Also, my Zync card backdated! It's showing as a member since '91! Forgotten about an old AmEx card I had back then, so must not have been blacklisted. It was a paid collection if I recall right.
Congrats. Why did you app for the clear instead of the bce?
Just want to get the easiest revolving AMEX card since my score is too low - I will definitely do a PC.
@tray wrote:Congratulations on your new card, although I thought I have read numerous times the clear card of Amex is one of the hardest cards to obtain
Likewise.
Typically any Amex revolver is much harder to obtain versus its charge card counterpart. However, the Amex Clear boasts a "no annual fee, no over-the-limit fee, no late fee, clear and simple" card which appears to be geared towards a responsible card holder and could possibly make it a "harder" card to obtain. Of course, this is just my interpretation of the marketing material... ![]()
