So I added my brother as auth user to my oldest account which is cap1 QS and I never use it, balance is zero.
He didnt have any score last month and now I am surprised, his score is 738 (Ex) and account age is showing as 1.8 years (thats when the cap1 account opened) and aaoa 1.8 years too, no hard inquires, uti - zero.
I wanted to add him on my other cards too but no other cc companies need social for auth user other than cap 1.
Now the question is, would he be able to get approved for any card by himself, if so whats the good fit?
**He cheked cardmatch and they are showing Amex BCE and BCP

Great question - his experience will depend largely on if the issuer notices the account is AU or not. My guess will be that many issuers will not notice - but with only one account showing, his chances are still relatively slim, regardless of score. What is his income?
Please keep us informed if he ever decides to app for anything. It is certainly an interesting case study. It won't really hurt him to try for something, what's 1 INQ on such a thin file?
yea it is interesting, I am curious to see what he gets approved for. He just started a temp job before he starts school, income prob be around 20k
Should I add add him as auth user to my other card to make the file stronger? but I dont see option of adding ssn in any other credit cards other than Cap1, so I am not sure if those will report.
I will post the updates here

Most will report based on name / address / other data matching. I'd definitely thicken up his file by another account if I were going full monty on this experiment.
I'm sort of curious on the results too: unlike Snack I think the major lenders can and may notice, but that may not matter if applying for the entry level decent tier cards (vis a vis Chase Freedom / equivalent) with a solid score perhaps might clear automagic underwriting if their systems aren't sophisticated enough to discount the AU for him.
