Authorized User Questions

If I am added as an authorized user to an account like American Express, citi or Chase, will that help me get a card on my own?  Especially if the owner of the card has excellent credit and always pays ontime?   I want to know specifically with those three cards.  Anyone experience this or know?

Thanks,

Jaime

In a way it helps, as it helps establish your history. But it won't only help you obtain the cards.

Re: Authorized User Questions

As stated AU helps with history but only help with util if they are not maxed out.

Re: Authorized User Questions

As long as their tradelines are positive, it will help. How much it helps depends on a lot of other factors within your credit profile .
