Authorized User question

hi all

 

Can i be an authorized user on someones account without having that account on my credit report? The item it already being reported on my credit reports but if i dispute the item and they remove it will i also lose the ability to use the card as an authorized user?

Now if you dispute it, you're saying it's not yours to be on your credit report, meaning you didn't want to be AU, that will call into question why are you using the card wwhen the creditor gets the dispute

So i am guessing its not possible? I am an authorized user on my mothers credit card cause i sometimes go shopping for her when she cant cause of her age, it makes things easier. The problem is she is utilizing all her available credit and its hurting my score.

The easiest thing to do is remove yourself so you don't end up with her account flagged from the creditor as potential fraud or something

 

 

Then use your own cards to pay for stuff then have her reimburse you
