I have the Aven Card (the credit card, not the HELOC). I really like the 3% cash back on up to $10K per year, but the app is honestly terrible. I get that their main focus is on pushing the HELOC product, and I’m willing to overlook that, but the credit card side feels like it’s missing basic functionality you’d expect from any normal issuer.
Am I missing something here? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Here are the main issues I’m running into:
Pending transactions don’t show up until they post.
Purchase notifications don’t work. I’ve turned on the setting, but nothing ever comes through.
Any thoughts?

I've have had other CC's that didn't show pending transactions, this is not unique to Aven. It's not a big deal, I know my spend. As far as notifications (I dislike this feature and would never use it in the first place), again, I know my spend. Just check the app in a few days to confirm your transactions. I find it very easy to navigate the app and seems to work just fine. Rewards once posted can be redeemed immediately. I never get any ads for Heloc loans, since I didn't claim to own any property on the application when submitted.

I do get app notifications for transactions.
Sometimes I don't for other credit cards, and it's likely do to heavy Internet traffic and coding mismatches with some devices, launcher apps, security features, etc...
The lack of pending purchases not showing is annoying to me too, but not a deal killer.
Since I've got most of my credit cards covering at 5% cashback, I've not put much spend on the Aven card yet, but I like having the 3% to fall back on.
