I would wait a year since it's a HP and they're pretty conservative. They're all manual review and you have to call to request one. I asked back in June when my card was 6 months and was shot down for the account being too new but they left their mark on my TU anyway.
Opening a checking account has worked for many to get offered a second card but it doesn't work for everyone as I still can't check for a prequal online.
