BEWARE OF FIRST PREMIER!!

They S*ck and and I mean they S*ck REAL BAD! My DW got them and it was one thing after another that they would do, to try to get fees! The last three things that made her close was, 1. She went to pay and it happened to be the last day on the due date. They said SORRY but it is after 7:00PM and you will be charged a $25.00 late fee! 2. Paid the next month in plenty of time, put the checking info. in and good to go...SO I THOUGHT! Noticed a week or so later that it did not post and I see a RETURNED CHECK FEE $25.00!!!!! I called and they said I must have put the info in wrong so they could not process!! **bleep**!!! I read it back to them and IT WAS RIGHT, but they said sorry, WRONG! How can they get away with this? So my DW told them to cancel right there. 3. They were VERY rude and just wanted to argue! After many, many attempts they did close it but the amount of money that they were able to get before, was unbelievable!  I cannot imagine how many people they do this to! They are the worst of the worst! BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY!!!

I've had them for six months now. As I've been rebuilding and wasn't aware of this forum, I got approved for capital one secured and FP in October. Haven't had a problem with either one, knock on wood. As soon as FP hits the year mark and I also get a much better CC, I'm getting rid of it. It will have definitely served it's purpose.

They are notorious for this. It's also one of the reasons that they charge thier annual fee in monthly installments - they hope you trip up, and forget to make your payment one month.

They *can* be a rebuilding tool, IF you have the time to devote to checking your accounts daily, and keeping on top of their bull pucky. They're just not a *good* rebuilding tool. 

Sorry your DW had to find out the hard way. But, onward to bigger and better things!
