Just got my BILT card and I would like it to report to the credit bureaus near the end of the month. It already reported the open account and my dur date is the 2nd. I had that changed to the 27th. Does that mean the reporting date will also change? I asked on the phone and at forst he said yes then said well Im not in that department and transferred me but I got hung up on. Thought id ask here before calling back and waiting on hold.
Most likely your bureau reporting date will change.
Do not have the Bilt card.
Most card issuers move the statement date when changing the due date.
Most have the statement date 2-6 days later.
So 27th due = (29th -- 3rd following month statement).
Many are fast as sending to credit bureaus, others take a few days.
Could be seen as early as 30th or as late as 6th following month.
*** Note a change of due/statement date can and often take a cycle or two.
Might not see it change for another month ***

Agree with both of the above. I just received my Bilt Mastercard and my "statement date" is six calendar days after my "due date." Assuming the six-calendar-day timeframe holds true, with a due date the 27th, your statements will close the 2nd thru 5th monthly.

Typically, I call twice and speak with different reps to confirm information such as this, but after my first call regarding "due date" and "statement date" I was informed that for Bilt credit cards:
Due Date - Does not fluctuate monthly
Statement Date - Does fluctuage monthly by a day or two, depending on the month.
Also FYI regarding CLIs: After speaking with two different reps regarding CLI timing, I was informed that there is not a set time-frame for when a CLI can be requested. It will depend on spend, profile, etc. I was also told that CLIs "should" typically be soft pulls, however, if a hard pull is required the representative will request the cardholder's permission and will read the customer a disclosure to move foward with the CLI request.
Best of luck with your new card!
Even with an early due date some institutions generate the statement last day of the month.
Others report balance on last day ignoring your statement balance.
Many institutions will not let one pick a date later than 24th or 25th as a due date
If wanting to align all card due dates (easy payment schedule) and know when
to check credit bureau's for updates, have found the 24th as the best date. (YMMV)

Agree. A few of my CUs report on the last day ignoring the statement closing date.
That would be fine. I plan on using this mostly to pay rent on the first of the month. If the reporting date is so close to that then I will always have a $2500 balance on that account. With some credit cards taking a few days to Process a payment, that might hurt my utilization. I think I'm gonna call them back and have them make it around the 22nd. Just wanna make sure they report before the beginning of the month. So I would love it to report around the 26th through the 28th.
