They don't devalue their points program nearly as hard as other hotels, so they remain a consistent high value point redemption. Combined with the heavy marketing Chase does with influencers, it gets a lot of air time.
But it's not unreasonable. Consider the boring Hyatt card with 1x gen spend, 2x on some categories. Sounds crappy, but Hyatt points are 2.2cpp, so that's 2.2% on gen spend, 4.4% on bonus categories , and status advancement. Meanwhile, my Hilton Surpass gets 6x on groceries, gas and restaurants. Awesome! But Hilton points are so devalued that they are ~0.5cpp, so even those 6x bonus categories are only really 3% back. And no status milestones etc: either I spend 75k or pay for Aspire, or I don't get Diamond. And Diamond is okay, but not that special.
Also their loyalty program is actually pretty rewarding, with decent bonuses every 20 qualified nights. Hyatt Globalist comes with free breakfast, lots of waived expenses and fees, early check in + 4pm checkout, credits and upgrades, even some American Airlines perks.
It's a popular program because it hasn't been en**bleep**tified yet like the others

I've been lurking in all the Bilt threads, trying to figure out if or how it could be worth it to me. My back-of-the-evelope calculations indicate that the benefits would be marginal in my case, but better than nothing at all which is what I'm getting now for rent. (If only my management company took Apple Pay, but I digress...)
There's also the small issue of getting approved for a third card from Wells Fargo (I have an Active Cash and Autograph). When I was approved for my two existing cards I had more on deposit with WF than I have now so even getting the Bilt card could be iffy.
Meh, I guess I'll continue to observe from afar, LOL.

Right. In general, transfers are all about cents per point. Generally, transferring to Hyatt gives a consistently good value.
Minor rant:
The caveat, as with all transfers, is that you have to "agree" that the cash price is worth it. So if a meh hotel is $700 a night or 700 points, while that is a great 100cpp, if you wouldn't have paid the $700 is it really? (This leads to the idea that you evaluate what you would pay and calculate cpp on that, making it all subjective). On the other hand, if for some reason you HAVE to stay there (only hotel with availabilty and an event you must attend), then maybe that is 100cpp, you have saved $700

While Hyatts usually are not as frequently found in as many places as other popular hotels, the points value tends to be much more valuable than other hotel points. For me, I like Hyatt a lot as most of the places I go to have ones I would like to stay at. If you don't, you may not find that point transfers to them would be worthwhile.
I am longing for the day that BILT includes mortgages. It seems like they are closer as they have sent out surveys about possible AFs and/or benefit structures regarding mortgages, so I am hopeful.
