BMW credit card arrived!!!!

Got my new BMW credit card in the mail today. Limit is 12.5k

Suffice to say, I am VERY happy.

Congrats!  You will soon learn that you have to spend INCREDIBLE amounts of money to get anything back from this card.  Their website is also a total joke.  It looks like it was designed in 1995 and has stayed that way ever since.  Other than that, the few times I have called them they are very nice and helpful.  Be careful about asking for a CLI though ...They pulled a hard on EQ (for me in FL) even though they said they wouldn't.

     Could you please tell me how long did it take? I got my car financed through BMW on 11th of this month, also applied for CC the same day but I dont know if it was approved or declined. Next day I saw another pull on EX for Credit Card I suppose. Today is the 24th, Is there any number where I can call to check the status? Does BMW sends any sort of paper material when you finance from them?

I am specifically excited due to the large CL. This will help me get other large CLs in the future.

I was approved for the car loan last weekend. I got a call from BMW Finance the middle of this last week welcoming me to the BMW family (i thought this was funny since I traded in a 2011 BMW 335D for the new 5, but anyway) and at the time he told me I was approved for the credit card if I wanted it, which I accepted. I asked him the limit and he said he couldnt provide that information over the phone but the the card came it would have the limit listed and I could request a higher limit if the limit was too low.

The card arrived and it said the initial approved limit was 12.5k so I called, activated and didnt request anything higher. Didnt want to push my luck.... but maybe I shoudlve.

I would push if I were you. After all, they can only say no and nothing else. They have already sent you the card.

Don't forget about that hard pull for CLI.  They can always pull that AND say no.  Bummer if that happens ...

Congrats!! When my husband purchased my 1st BMW a few years back he automatically was also given the Visa.  Others are right that the rewards are really not the best, but I will tell you this although my husband did miss a few payments years back they never raised his APR, and this is one card that still has the lowest.

I agree about the APR.  I don't revolve a balance but if I wanted to this card is 10%.  Pretty good for an ongoing rate.
