Hey Guys,
So I was approved today for Merril+ Visa Signature Card (50k point after 3k spent). In my State BOA always pulls EX for new applications and TU for CLIs. I applied via phone, CSR put me on hold and after reviewing report from TU came back and congratulated me saying that I was approved for 10K SL
I have a Cash Rewards card with them for 2+ years with a messy $1700 limit. Now does anyone know if I go online and submit a CLI request for this card would the pulls be combined?
My stats before Merril+ application are as below
Total CL - $113,300
TU FICO - 737
AAoA - 2 Years
TU INQ - 2 (12 months -1)
They'll use the same pull. Normally BofA will use the same pull for 30 days.
Be warned they may transfer limits instead of giving you an increase. I did the same thing when I got the Merrill. They moved limits from my rewards card in order to give me the limit I asked for.
I waited 4 months and did another request. That time they increased both cards limits. By the way, my Merrill SL was the same as yours 6 months ago.
Thank you Gmood1 and K.. I will give it a try in that case. As such I do not need an increase on my Cash Rewards, but if we can get it without any hard pull, there is absouletly no harm.
BTW I was approved for Merril+ and had it expedited by CSR, she told me it will arrive on Wednesday but I do not see my card in BOA login. Does it take time or I need to create a separate login being a Merril card?
Yup the Merrill+, the same one that's in my signature. It will show up in a couple of hours. BofA system lags. CLIs normally show up slow as well.

Congrats! As Gmood1 said, they will use the same pull. Also when I did my last CLI, I got an offer for the Cash Rewards card and they ended up automatically using the same TU pull for that new app instead of doing an EX pull.
I just recently (5 days ago) got an increase on my Cash Rewards to $20K up from $11.5K and they pulled TU for it + I have 2 card offers....So you're saying if I take one of the offers they'll use the TU report they pulled for my CLI 5 days ago?

Alright.. I was approved earlier today and it has been almost 4 hours, still nothing there.. So yes, they seems to be slow unlike Chase and others where accounts shows up almost instantly as soon application is approved.
Went ahead and requested a CLI on existing Cash Rewards, requested 10K and they countered at 5.5K. No signs of new pull, sweet
You guys are awesome
Reminder to all that the discussion of freezing one or more credit reports to force a creditor to pull another one is prohibited on these forums. Thank you for your cooperation.

I know that for same-day I did not receive a 2nd pull. I can't give any personal experience with more time on the same pull, but I know that I asked for a CLI on one card January 1st and the CLI I requested for another cash on February 28th resulted in a new pull.
Klad, congrats! A more than 3x CLI is still great.
