I have been a customer for a very long time. I applied for a credit card in June of 2021. I have been rebuilding after a divorce. I am an AU on my mother's card. She has a high score. Low700s at the time. So I guess I was on the bubble. I believe they not only considered my credit score but the balances and nsf transaction on one of the accounts I have with them. As a result, they offered me the $99 for $500. I wasn't expecting graduation. I have been using the card for gas and Costco runs but been paying it in full by statement date. Often leaving a small credit balance. ( i have been AZEOing trying to move the needle on the scores so i can buy a new home.) The first "weird" thing was a refund check for $1.25 credit balance right after the statement cut. Then I noticed a $99 credit with description "C/H Accounting Credit Adjustment FDES NNF" with a series of numbers on 3/24. I just checked my account and my credit limit is now $1500. I wasn't expecting graduation till after 12 months. But i will take 9 months. Just adding to data points. Hope this is helpful to someone else.
Congratulations on the graduation!

That was a $99 statement credit for spending $500?
If so, cool! Graduated and got a bonus!
No. The $99 credit was posted to my BOA checking account. It was the "secured" deposit I made to get the $500 limit.
Ah! okay. I didn't realize the deposit could be less than the secured card limit.
Thanks for the clarification.
