So yesterday just out of curiosity I went on BOA website and put my info through and it showed that they recommended the Cash Rewards card with 200 bonus offer. Now just a little back story I burned them back in 2006 for a hefty line of credit. When I go onto AMEX & Chase they both say no soup for me. So does this mean that BOA has forgiven me and letting me back in? Hope everyone is having a wonderful start of their weekend.
That's not a prequal, that's "recommendation". Everyone who tries will get "recommendation".
Cards vary depending on what you put as "which cards are you interested in".
I got ya. I tried it awhile ago and don't recall what it had stated but I believe it may have not recommended anything though. Thanks for replying nonetheless. Have a great day.
@SFLSpotter9210 This situation is ymmv.
I burnt them heavily too in 2009 and I was welcomed back with open arms.
to increase your chances, I will recommend you first open a checking/savings with them.
2006 is a long time
.
'your chances are very good but not certain
Thanks for the information on BOA. I'm not entirely certain if I'm up for that. I already have 5 checking and savings accounts opened already lol. But if I feel the need to apply I'll just go for it I guess lol. Have a great weekend.
As a BoA member, I think they have minimal balances with out a monthly fee.
I also have many account, most are just savings or special use accounts and makes it hard some times keeping track of passwords and login names

Depending upon the account type (checking/savings) I believe you need either $500 mininum balance/$250/month direct diposit/$10K in another BoA account/portfolio to get monthly fees waived unless you are a fulltime student under 25.
As you've pointed out, at some point maintaining multiple accounts can become a nuisance, different people have different thresholds. While BoA is definitely a relationship bank not everyone is willing to make this level of committment just to get one of their credit cards.
Yes totally agree it does become a nuisance to a degree. So they are a viable option if need be in the future. Right now nothing really excites me. Besides I'm truly blessed to have what I got now so I'll garden for a bit longer. Have a great weekend.
I also burned them for a lot in '09 and I already have a key to their kingdom! Heck I've already stopped asking for a CLI from them for 2 years now!
Depending on your HPs and new accounts in the last 12-24 months I say your current profile Pretty much merits an approval!
Not sure about their PR card though.
