Ah, you got the $99/$500 card. Yeah, it's secured, but for $99 deposit you get a $500 CL, a much better secured card. I got my BoA scured card in May, it took 3-4 biz days after they took the money from my account until they acknowledged it & the app was showing approved.
Hey DaveinAZ, how so you like this card so far?

Well, to be honest, there's not much to like about it - I only deposited $300 so $300 CL, and no rewards. Compared to my other cards - CLs up to $10k and as much as 5% rewards on Discover, 2% on Barclays or 1.5% on everything on Cap One Quicksilver, there's not alot to like about it. But it does seem to be accomplishing my intent - solidifying my credit rebuild from my 2010 BK7, which included $8100 on a BoA CC. After turning me down flat last Oct. Discover started mailing me weekly invites in June & approved me w/$4k CL when I app'd in July. And a credit union in Tucson known as a conservative lender mailed me a pre-approval for a Visa Gold and approved me for $4k CL when I app'd in early Dec.
With a username of "CountryLivin" I assume you also live in the boonies? I bought a 10 acre property in rural SE AZ 10 years ago and love country living - the peace & quiet, and 10 minute drive to work with no traffic, not a single stop sign, let alone a traffic light. But, I thought I moved to someplace warm - low in the teens this morning and high of only 48 tomorrow with snow flurries in the AM. Brrr! At 4200' elevation it gets cold in southern AZ in the winter.

Yep, I live in the country and I love it! I am in Illinois, live in teh country, but close enough to town to not have to worry about shopping. I love Arizona....thought about moving close to Prescott a few years back. I hate the Illinois winters, even though this year so far has been great!
I just checked online again and I was approved for the 99/500 secured card.
I finally received my card today! :-)
