I got the BOA Travel Rewards Visa Sig back in April 2014. CL is currently $5000.00
Last month, I got an unexpected APR reduction from them (from 22.99 to 14.64%), so I was feeling my oats and decided to do a CLI request yesterday. I asked for $15K, thinking they would counter-offer. I would be happy with $10K, or even $8K.
Got the 7-10 day message instead. ![]()
Based on the information I've gotten on the board, it seems like the 7-10 message is not necessarily a decline and recon is possible. Any suggestions on how to go about this? I am planning on traveling in August and would like to have a larger CLI. Any tips on trying to convince them to grant the request?
Thx!

Definitely not a decline.. It's hard to be patient, but be patient.
It could be as little as a couple of hours or a couple of days. I think you're gonna get it! Or at least 10.
You could call them if you want to expedite it along.

Thx Kenny! Do you think I'm better off calling them Monday, or wait a couple of days to see if something comes through automatically? I just got the CK HP ding e-mail, so at least I know they have the request ![]()

Not sure to be honest. I know in the past I've called on the weekend when I was doing a BT. That call went well and I got exactly what I wanted. (This was probably 1-2 years ago, though.) So maybe it's best now.
People are lovely on the weekend. haha! GL

I assumed they'd be closed on the weekends. Hmmm...maybe I'll give it a go. Did you use the backdoor number?

You will probably see the cli by Monday, just log in.

Sounds good CA! I will wait until Monday and if nothing then give them a jingle. Does anyone know if they would auto-counter (if such a word exists) meaning would they automatically assign me highest possible limit I qualify for, or do I need to call in to get the counter offer?
