BOfA is changing my old Rewards Visa to Travel Rewards

Got a letter in the mail that states:

"Your BankAmericard Rewards(r) credit card will be upgraded to a Bank of America(r) Travel Rewards credit card on September 1."

The new card will have the same account number, limit, and APR, and unredeemed points will transfer over.  Currently my card offers 1 cent per point when redeemed toward a statement credit or toward merchandise on their rewards portal.

The new benefits as shown in the letter include:

"1.  Unlimited 1.5 points for every $1 you spend on all purchases everywhere, every time and no expiration on points.

2. No annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.

3. 3 points per $1 spent on travel booked through the Bank of America(r) Travel Center."

So I'm wondering if this is worthwhile for me.  I don't travel often.  I guess as a general use card it offers 1.5% instead of 1% so that's a step up, though I get more from the Cash Rewards.  This card will benefit me more in the infrequent times I do travel though.

Maybe I could call them and PC to something else?  I have no idea what.  I already have a Cash Rewards card which I use for most everyday spending.

FWIW the "points" are very easy to use, BoA even considers our favorite winery to be "travel" and lord knows I spend a bunch of money there Smiley Tongue
