BT ? Advice needed

Good morning everybody

I am a newbie on BT and would like to get your opinion/suggestion

Cap1, Chase Marriott, Sallie Mae all offer the same BT promo with the same low transaction fee

Cap1: Pros I do not need the card for purchases during BT, high limit  / Cons My very first BT  is still  running and there will be a 2nd if I use this card

Chase Marriott: Pros high limit / Cons not sure if there will be purchases in the next 4-5 months where I would like to use the card, purchase APR 15,99%

Sallie Mae: Pros still in 0% purchase APR / Cons low limit after transferring 5K over to US Airways two weeks ago  Smiley Sad

If not for the limit I think the best card to place the BT on would be Sallie Mae as still in 0% purchase APR period. Like this I would not have to stop using the card to avoid interest. I had to move 5K over to US Airways due to the low approval limit of 2,5K  but this was before Barclays decided to increase the limit on the Arrival+ and US Airways a few days later.  Do you think Barclays might move over the 3K they increased on Arrival+ to Sallie Mae? Reading from Barclays high util on their card could trigger AA and with the BT I would be at 50-60% if the limit remains  5K. I would pay 500-600$ every month so the util will go down. Risk of AA if I leave the limit like this and proceed with the BT on this card ?

For Cap1 there is my very first BT ending in 2 months and I do not know what happens if I start a new one on this card? How does it work paying off 2 different 0% APR balances?

The Marriott is not ideal because I am not sure if I would like to use the card during the BT but hate to pay interest on new purchases. So this is also not the best option.  My plan was to do a BT on Freedom which had the offer for over a year and Chase just has removed the promo on both accounts Freedom and CSP. Well CSP I never was considering but Freedom would have been the card I could have stopped using for the BT period.

What would you do?

Thanks in advance

There shouldn't be any issue with Barclay's moving some credit around for you.

Thanks. I will call in the morning and see what will happen. Ideal would be 3K from Arrival to Sallie Mae and I am all set.

You got a 0% Purchase promo with the Sallie Mae? Gee. I barely got the 0% BT's for 15mos when I opened it.

Oh... I thought everybody would have the 0% intro for 12 billing cycles  for purchases and BTs Smiley Surprised  .. my 0% intro will expire in June and by then my BT is probably paid off or I can limit the use for a month or two.

Kudos for Barclays credit department. Smooth juggling CLs  around  and like this the Sallie Mae with 8K now  looks like the best card to use for my BT experiment Smiley Happy
