Got the chase slate approved for DW $15k this week.
I have a need to do some BT utilizing the 0% BT offer with $0 transaction fees in first 60 days.
When i try to initiate the BT process(planning for $5k), it asked me to enter credit card account number online.
1)did someone succeeded trying with other bank checking account instead of a CC?
2)If credit card is the only one allowed by chase slate to do BT. Can i use the Overpayment option on any of my credit card and get a refund check? will they charge any extra fees for refunding money as a check to me?
3)One thing is sure, very recently, i had a refund payment on my discover card, and when i asked, they sent out me a check of that amount, without any extra fees. but that was something use for purchase from amazon and the transaction was refunded back.
TIA.
Chase is one of the banks that will send balance transfer checks to cardholders throughout the year. Granted, this is usually for established customers who no longer qualify for the $0 balance transfer fee offer.
It would be worth a phone call, branch visit or secure online message to ask if they will send DW some balance transfer checks associated with the 0%, $0 balance transfer fee, 15 month period (all balance transfers have to be completed within the first 60 days of cardmembership to qualify). Be sure to confirm that the physical, paper checks would qualify. If so, then simply write yourself a check and deposit it into your checking account.
You could certainly try to process a balance transfer to another card with a $0 balance and see if that bank would process a refund; however, this could look like money laundering to some banks so just a heads up.

That's putting it mildly. We seriously receive 3-4 BT checks from Chase and BOA every week!
+1 on just asking them for the checks, though.

But neither will give free checks for an actual checking account
