Hello everyone! I want to do a balance transfer of all of my monies owed to a new CC with 0%. I think I have decided on Citi Simplicity, for the simple fact that it’s 0% for 18 months and I know I can pay off what I owe (only around $3K) in that period of time.
However, I don’t want to take the hard pull and get denied. I have outlined my credit report below and was wondering if anyone can put in some input on whether I should apply for the Citi card or not, or if there is a better option?
TU FICO® score as of 3/2012: 694
Negative Item (not in collections):
Peoples Gas - 10/2007
$0/Payment after chargeoff/collection
Old roomies opened in my name after I moved out. Back in my naïve days, I thought paying it would delete it. Now it’s just haunting me.
$6750 in available credit (US Bank Platinum, CapitalOne, Kohl’s Charge, Dell Preferred Account)
Around $3000 is owed right now.
$18k owed to Honda Financial Services for my car.
According to my TU Fico Report: You have no inquiries affecting your FICO® score.
Equifax Report shows 7 total inquiries (one falls off in June) and only 2 (both from US Bank for the same credit card) are in the last year (June 2011).
Oldest account was opened: 7 Years, 11 Months ago
Average age of your accounts: 3 years
Total accounts in good standing: 9
I have ZERO lates (except that stupid Peoples Gas bill).
Additionally, does anyone know if there's a better likelihood I'll get approved if I apply in a Citi Bank, as opposed to online? I'm still new to this stuff and any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
