I wonder if Bank of America or Discover does this?
I keep learning more and more reasons everyday to love AMEX. From soft pulling to 3xCLI's to backdating......they just seem so "pro-customer", more than all the rest.
I just finished an online chat session;
Reporting back with VERY straightforward sucess:
I guess I would do an update on my backdate attempt on my new BCP. They sent me a new bcp with the new msd. For the first time my amex bcp reported with experian, and it reported 9/95 as my open date, which was my first year in college. I am pretty thrilled about that :-)
I was gonna say, definitely greedy lol... but go for it! Most people are not astute enough to identify the discrepancy, even assuming all the info was on one screen for them to see. Congrats on your success!!!
I am going to apply next Spring. Please let me know if I should even try. Here's my story:
I had an Amex Green in college closed for non-payment (late 90s).....then I had one through my job (06-08)....gave it up when I got my current job.
Now, they are all over my EX CR (sometimes twice a week). Is this a good or bad thing? And if I get approved, Can they really backdate me to 1998?
