Bank of America Luv Button Question

The luv button appeared on my account for the first time I've noticed. I started with a $20k limit. I've put some big transfers on it ($14k) and paid it off very quickly.

Is the luv button a soft pull? I have limits in the low 40s and high 30s on a couple cards. Should I ask for $40k?

My scores are 800/833/831 with $100k+ income. Utilization is between 1-2%.

Any and all help is appreciated.

I don't really want another hard pull at the moment. I have between 8-12 between the three bureaus. How long does the luv button remain?

Almost forever. I check my account everyday and it is always there. Even after I got a CLI it only went away for less than a month.

Yes I barely paid attention it but when I did use it I had 8K, asked for 20K and got 14.8K. My income was not that high but I had a 740 TU

My card was at 2k, asked for 15k (same limit as a few months old Venture). They approved only 6k, called and asked for more with same HP, said ok but only 7k a few days later they increased to 10k.

They will HP you, so if there is any suspicious on your reports you will not get a CLI if everything is ok they will say only 30-35K, but you can call and request more with same HP. If you have used the card and they thing you can be a good business for them they will give you a good CLI. Asking 50K is just to make sure nothing is left on the table. Good luck.

Why would it be suspicious? You have multiple cards in the $30k/$40k range. $50k is definitely your next step up. Your portfolio justifies a $50k card. No worries.

I have personally only hit it twice and I am at $20k. TU hp. My button has been there for months. But, I am saving my pull for next year. Will request $35k. Then next request will be $50k 😉

One of our members was at $30k and recently requested $50k and got $47.5k. BOA is one of the more generous lenders.
