Chatted today about getting my BofA MasterCard (BankAmericard, whatever) with no rewards but a 2001 open date and 11.24% APR, PC to the Travel Rewards VISA.
No, you can't get there from here.
They said I could PC it to the Business version of the Alaska Airlines card. This must be something to do with the orgiin of this MasterCard, as an affinity card with the Institute of Management Accountants, that's the only reason I can think they would lead it to the Business AK Air card.
So, I will not be PC'ing this no AF card to a $75 AF card with a FTF. I'll just wait to see what other 10% merchant offers they have, such as the HairMasters, and Five Guys I just used recently. And potentially BT, but those are paying down fast.
I may also go into a branch to see what else is available, or if they have another way to convert this to Travel Rewards.
In other news, I got my Slate with EMV chip, and the FICO score activated through Slate.

Bank of America i weird about PC-ing.
My girlfriend kept (and is still) receiving offers to open a Travel Rewards with a $150 signup bonus. She had an old BoA car with terrible rewards. Had her call the bank and ask about PC-ing that to Travel Rewards. No go, person said there are no "PC Offers" on the account. She was like "So even though you are sending me offers for the Travel Rewards card, and I want that card, you won't let me change?" They were like "yes". Tried a couple more times by online chat also, no go.
there seems to be no rime or reason to their PC policies

How about BBR.
Like he said.
Simple $25 quarterly bonus return just for carrying a balance and paying more than the minimum.
Of course BofA doesn't do PC for this card anymore i think.

I thought that was the one hard policy they have now: no PC-ing to BBR whatsoever
I had to cancel my only card with BoA (Virgin Atlantic WEMC) last December because they refused to PC it to anything else. I even expressed a desire to remain a customer of theirs, and they just kept offering to take an application for a new card, which I refused. I ended up getting a great refinance rate from BoA on my car loan the following month, so I wasn't gone for long from them.

Thing is, they came back and said the only card I could PC to was the Business AK Air, so no joy at all.
As to closing it, no, not closing it. The BT offers are too lucrative I was planning to pay it down to zero soon as the latest BT offer expires in May, however I am thinking I will instead just juggle the balance off, juggle some other balances, then re-up with a new 18-month 0% APR offer to let it ride.

+1. No matter who you talk to it will be a no go. There is simply no way around it sorry OP
4% fee
I think I will try one more time, take both BofA cards into a local branch to rephrase the question, just to be sure there are not some other offers for PC.
