Bank of America raising Transaction Fees to 4%?

Hey guys,

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! I just wanted to check if anyone else got this notice this past month. Bank of America sent me an e-document in my account portal this month saying they were raising transaction fees on my Custom Cash Rewards account to 4% for balance transfers and cash advances starting February 2024. I was just curious if this was a company wide change or more targeted. I've never utilized a balance transfer or cash advance but I still don't like any fee increase of course.

Let me know if you've come across this as well.

Thanks!

Re: Bank of America raising Transaction Fees to 4%?

I noticed it on my statement today.
Doesn't affect me, so don't care.
After I had an oops last year with my checking account that triggered a cash advance via Balance Connect, I realized I could switch Balance Connect to my Merril Edge margin account, so am covered even if I'm devoid of cash in an easy to withdraw from account.

Back to gardening until Late February 2026.
