i have been hearing negative things about this card - but it doesnt have an AF - and i have an $8300 CL with it
i am thinking of closing it since i only used it for a large Mac purchase 2 years ago
my question - is it considered a 'store' card?
if the answer is Yes, i will close it
if the answer is No, i will keep it in the drawer with once a year use
thanks
correct Barclays Visa with rewards for Apple(3) - Restaurants (2) and general purchases (1)
sounds like i should just hold onto it then
i am looking to close some cards - tryting to track down which ones have the double whammy of AF and 'Store'
thanks

If the card has a Visa, Mastercard, or AMEX logo, it’s a major card that can be used anywhere cards from these networks are accepted. A store card can be used only at one store or a small handful of stores.
thanks for the clarification
i am going to rip through my cards and figure out which ones should/can be dropped - though finding the AF on some of them has been proving to be a pain
Most store cards have no AFs as they are subsidized by the store to get you to spend money there.
My Apple Card was my 2nd cc 6 years ago. Started off with a 1000 CL, it’s now grown to a 15,500 CL. I don’t think I’ve made one POS purchase with it, bought an iPad and some Apple supplies(cords....). It is my go to BT card. Always great rates and terms. Seem like every time I BT of 4K or more they CLi me by few 1000. I’d keep it open.
I would personally keep it. I got mines a few years ago used it for one major purchase, then put it on my iTunes account for when my icloud, kids apps and things hit. That way it gets it's usage without me having to remember to use it. With that CL, it's good cushioning if nothing else. They used to be stingy with bigger limits.

Just becareful to not miss a payment. It's easy to "forget" about a card like this and miss payments.
good plan on tying it to iTunes - i don't purchase much, but might as well get some monthly activity from it
i set Auto Pay on almost all accounts - and check regularly, so i should be good
last time i asked for a CLI, they did a HP - so i will leave it at the current $8300
i think i am going to cancel my Amex - it has a $95 AF that is coming up in Jan, and i rarely use it
