I always get these Barclaycard Balance Transfer Checks. There are blue and white checks that come in the mail often linked to my Barclaycard Platinum MasterCard account. My question is does the Barclay Arrival + get these balance transfer checks too often in the mail or just the Barclaycard Rewards ?
I get them all the time with my SM accounts I dont think they are limited to any particular card.
I used to get them regularly the first couple years I had Barclays Rewards MC, but they stopped and it's been a couple years since they sent me any.
The nice thing about using Barclays BT checks (beside it doesn't have to be a BT, you can make them out to yourself & deposit in your bank account) is that you can still use the card for purchases and have the grace period to PIF and avoid any interest charges - Barclays statements show you the amount you need to pay by the due date to avoid any interest. By comparsion Cap 1 has been sending me checks for my QS account, and it clearly states that if you use them & have a BT balance you lose your grace period, and purchase you make gets charged interest the day it hits the account. Nice of them to be so upfront, but No Thanks, I use my QS card for the 1.5% rewards in catagories my Barclays Rewards MC doesn't give me 2%.
i get them once a month. I'm getting tired of shredding them. ![]()
Barclay has offered me to call and upgrade my rewards to a arrival + but dont want to lose the balance transfer checks so i will ask. DISCOVER also allows tou to deposit to your bank but only offers 12 months 0% apr. 18 montjs 2.99%. Barclay's still better. I wonder though if i can just email Barclay anytime and request the white and blue checks anytime.
I got them for both today in the mail, actually. The rewards one is 1% fee and no interest till NOV16 or 3% fee and FEB17. The arrival+ is 2% fee and no interest till AUG16 or the same 3% FEB17.
1% and 15 months is pretty awesome
