Last month I noticed on my statement from Barclays a second interest charge when my statement cut. It was labeled purchase incentive terms. It was only for $0.24 so I thought it was odd but maybe just some type of interest rate adjustment related thing so I decided not to follow up on it. Then it happened again on my most recent statement but for $0.88 this time. I called to find out what these were for and the csr just apologized and reversed the charges. I have no idea what they were for so I guess this is just a warning to make sure you double check your statements.

When you say second interest charge, does that mean you are carrying a balance and pay a first interest charge?
I received an offer from Barclays of 0% on any new purchases made until January..or..April..I forgot which.
Perhaps you received that same offer and their system glitched, hence the credit? See if you have those offers applied to your account.
Yes. I'm paying off the card and that's why I didn't think much of it at first because I thought it was an adjustment to the APR .
Good call! My card stopped working 8 or 9 months ago and I finally requested a new one a few months ago. I didn't activate it until last month and tested it at a grocery store last month and a gas station this month. Looking at my statement, I have a 3.99% new purchase promo interest rate that was being used. I've been aggressively paying down the card so I paid those charges off either before they posted or right after and even with some compounding doesn't seem to be right.
If the CSR had said there is currently a promo on your account and that is why there is a separate interest charge I would have been fine and then done the actual calculations just to see if if the math made sense but she just apologized and reversed it.
Glad you figured it out. But I'd recommend not using a card you're carrying a balance on for purchases.
