My Aviator Red AF will post in a few days. I'll call for retention.
Assuming my $20 of TTM spend doesn't get an offer...
- How long after the AF posts can I cancel and get the AF refunded?
- How long after the AF posts can I downgrade to a no-AF "White" Aviator card (if I have an offer to do so) and get the AF refunded?
White is a useless card.
I would suggest just closing it and app for a Citi AA card SUB (now 60K) if you are eligible.
Keeping it would really just be to decrease the appearance of churning - to show I'd have kept the card for more than a year.
I did become eligible for another Citi AA bonus a few months ago, so that is an option. I might close my Double Cash soon, and that would give me ample room for an approval without being limited by my internal maximum at Citi.
AF posted last night. No offers. Moved CL to Arrival and closed Aviator.
had no issue getting my AF waived actually for the life of the card on the business barclay's AA. I just asked for the year and they said how about life... strange as don't use it much at all! I figured barclays and Citi where in a punching battle to obtain the most AA card members and each is more likely to waive said AF
