I recently applied for and was approved for a Virgin America Visa Signature with Barclays... CL $6,600. yay?
Problem is, they've issued the annual fee version of the card ($49), when what I app'd for was the fee-free version (or so I thought)!!
According to their records, I app'd for the fee bearing version, but the problem seems to be with their website.
They have all this great detail about the points and the benefits, blah blah... and a nice red "Apply Now" button next to some text about a $49 fee.
Below that red button, they have a smaller section that reads: Looking for a ... with no fee? Apply Here.
So I clicked on the no fee Apply Here link. Suprise, I now discover both links go to THE SAME APPLICATION!!!
I've explained the situation to more than one CSR, asked for PC to what I actually applied for, but to no avail... best they can do is wave the fee for this year?
Just a little frustrated with the situation... it's their website that caused the problem.
Anyone ever have anything like this happen? Thoughts or ideas on how to handle?

Yeah I wouldnt put too much weight about the link, generally for these types of apps, its the same physical application page however the options you choose are usually passed in the background as a hidden variable, its possible that's where things went wrong but its very hard to prove. My guess is they are unable to PC due to new CARD act laws, so you may have to wait it out 13 months and try the PC again.
