Benefit by having a Wa-Mu Credit Card

The Credit Crad Scoring 101 tells me Wa-Mu does provide true FICO score.

Q1. Does any one have Wa-Mu credit card and checked FICO score they provide you monthly?

Q2. Does that FICO scre incrude credit score analizer?  (I have Identity Monitor service ($9.95/mo)from Citi Card and I can view for 30days.  It tells me reports and scores from each of EX, EQ, and TU.  Moreover I can use credit analizer to see how much score will change if do this and do that.)

Thanks!

1. yes, it's updated monthly. takes about two-three months for it to regularly start updating.

Rewards with WAMU? If so, Is this any different from any other? Also, is  the signup there when you sign on to view your account activity?

Re: Benefit by having a Wa-Mu Credit Card

Hello,

The credit score WAMU provides to you on their website is not a FAKO nor a FICO, it is considered a PFICO, which is a "credit card" enhanced FICO score.

An example is, my TU PFICO is 749 while my FICO is 732.  I have a few "oops" on my TU from other things but all and all my credit cards reporting on my TU are pretty well off.

Agreed.  My TU PFICO is 783 while my FICO is 767. I have no negatives reporting - just a few accounts less than 6 months old.

Re: Benefit by having a Wa-Mu Credit Card

So, Wa-Mu's score is a little bit higher than FICO score.

How about Credit Analyzer?  On the Wa-Mu web site provide this service?
On City Identity Monitor web site has analyzer to calculate the changes depend on what would like to do.
When I moved in to this partment in end of Sepember 2005 the manager has told me my credit score was 725.   I am not sure what my real score is now.  Becasue I has been opened two credit card account and charged about 50% on my two out of five credit cards.
According to fako score from Citi my credit score is 748 (EQ), 738 (EX), 735 (TU).  Since these are not my real score I want to know it.
The Credit Scoring 101 said Wa-Mu PFICO is true number.   And I am receiving the offers from Wa-Mu in mail and interested to apply for one.  And if this PFICO come with credit analyzer I want to cancel Citi Identy Monitor Service to use that money to pay to my card to reduce the balance.

Yes it is a FICO. Its a credit card enhanced FICO score. FICO has more than the three classic scores you get when you buy them here.

Smallfry,

That is exactly what i wrote in my previous post.  It isnt a traditional FICO but a credit card enhanced PFICO.

We understand that there are Housing, Credit Card and Auto enhanced FICO scores but i was only trying to show that the WAMU score is a credit card PFICO rather then the regular non enhanced FICO scores you may get from TU, EX or EQ.

Re: Benefit by having a Wa-Mu Credit Card

L.B., I have 2 WaMu Cards, and really like that they post actual FICO scores(weighted for cc's). The give you a bar graph of your scores for the past 12 months.

They also provide you with a modified "score analyzer", that tells you what is helping your score, and what is hurting your score. But not really indepth.

They give you a "snapshot" of your CR also:

Snapshot
Number of Accounts:
Number of Open Accounts:
Number of Closed Accounts:
Inquiries:
Derogatory Items:
Number of Delinquencies: Unavailable
Total Revolving Balalances
Those are taken from my CR (TransUnion for me)

A very nifty feature is their "score simulator": Suggested Best Action; Pay Bills On Time; Missed Payments; Pay Down Balances; Transfer Balances. On those catagories. You can plug in variable time periods, and see how your theoretical score improves/worsens.

I trust that this answers your question.
