Best Buy/Citi and CR

I know many have been affected by Best Buy's change to Citi...has anyone had their Citi BB account show up on any CRs yet?  I'm getting ready to have my second statement cut since they moved me over and still nothing showing up on my CR.  It's somewhat frustrating, since I got a CLI to $7k from around $2k or so which would help my util a bit; however the AAoA is what is killing my from that account being closed now.  Just wondering if anyone's Citi BestBuy has shown up yet and if so did it show history since your original account was opened or just since after they opened your Citi account?  I don't like this period of limbo and not knowing how things are going to end up showing up.

Re: Best Buy/Citi and CR

One guy has posted it reporting and said that it showed the original opening date of the card. By November, everyone should have it on their credit file (according to Cite).

Myfico scores.....
EX... 805 (11-10-13)
EQ... 810 (12-02-13)
TU... 810 (12-02-13)

The account being closed won't affect your AAoA for the next 10 years, or until they delete it. There have been instances of citi reporting with the original date, then deleting the old cap1 TL. Just be patient there isn't a whole lot we can do to speed up the process.

Re: Best Buy/Citi and CR

I plan to request Capital One to delete the old TL, got SW and score dropped 5 points and AAoA is down a few months. Pretty minor but I'll probably still make an effort to have it removed.

Again all reports so far is the Citi overtook the cap 1 TL so you might not need to request that.

I really wonder what will happen with my card, inactivity closed it but it still showed on all 3 CRAs as open until last month when it was closed by creditor.

Where have you seen this reported that the Cap1 is deleted?

Re: Best Buy/Citi and CR

It has been reported on mine for about a week now.  While it reported a new tradeline it reports the original date it was opened with all reporting history. I had it closed as soon as the Capital One trade line reported as closed/tranferred so it reports as closed at consumers request. The Capital one trade line is still reporting as well.  I was going to go through the effort of attempting to have Capital One remove the old trade line, since it wasnt one of my oldest, but I have seen no score change as a result of it.

Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly where I read it, I took it as true as I have seen it on more than one occasion. It may have been on another forum though.

Hmmm....I just read what you are referring to and now I am wondering why it is still showing on my reports.

EDIT: Thanks for the link, I see that and so will wait until next month in case the old TL is being removed. I sure hope so!
