I wonder how much luck you have with getting the store card. I bet they would give you more than a $100 limit.

From reading the forum, it appears it is harder to get the store card than the Mastercard. In my personal experience, I was approved for my first BB store card with a $800 limit while my RZMC was approved a month later with a $4000 limit.
HAHAHA No My equifax just rose with the reporting of my usbank card LOL to 625 - Fico don't know how much my transunion went up (gonna wait awhile to get it when both cards are reporting)
Statement date is the 17th for the Best Buy credit card, I guess 500 dollars of purchases gets you a free 20.00 gift card, I guess that's decent.
I just received my card yesterday, and was told they are not doing CLI AHHAAH, but just like someone said they harrassed me to death for this score watch thing which they said was like 1.39 or something.
I just hope after awhile my CL increases, just focusing on getting my Util below 10%
well not even making sure evrything reprots a zero balance
Usbank got me when my credit card was sent to me the day before the statement cuts and I used it the next day so the statement cut for that amount, but its okay the reporting of the card still made my score jump
Heck, just make it your gas card. Buy a tank of gas, and as soon as the charge appears online, pay it off. Think of it as a sluggish debit card: just use it for something that you have money in the bank for, and keep knocking the balance down to $0 right after every use.
It's obviously going to be tricky keeping $9 or less reporting on a $100 CL card, plus HSBC/ Orchard bank cards are notorious for being slow to update, occasionally skipping months entirely, so I'd plan on having this one always report $0. Just let it build up history, adding month after month of no negatives. It'll do its job for you over time. And who knows, maybe this kind of usage will result in a CLI one day.
But I'd definitely keep this one a PIF-before-statement card.
Congrats on the nice start on improving your credit profile!
I have another HSBC product and ran into the same error online. Ran into a similar roadblock when I tried to do it over the phone; customer service told me that HSBC is not increasing any credit limits on any product until September.
hopefully hsbc gets their act together and starts doing cli soon- i have 2 cc's with them (orchard & bbrz) and if come may orchard has not increased the cl then that cardwill be going to the waste basket per the annual fee
BBRZ will be active as it has no AF
