Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Totally depends on what you define as best. Rewards, rate?
The best card is the one that you personally gain the most benefit from. There is no "best" card for everyone.
Some people will say CSR or Amex Plat because they're expensive and have expensive perks. But if you don't already travel a lot, those cards will be more of a burden than a benefit. You might gain more benefit from a card that earns points in more broad categories like an Amex EDP or from a co-branded card from a brand you use a lot or from straight cash back cards. Everyone is different.
Those premium cards are really not an indication of your credit score. You actually don't need a very high score or income to get them. They're more an indication of how much you spend. The perk of having good credit is not to get that one trendy card that everyone is talking about. It's so you can get whatever card you want.
Most prestigious to me would be the American Express Centurion card or the J.P. Morgan Reserve card. Unless you travel very frequently and/or have quite extensive assets, those are not going to be the best cards for you. Like others said, it's a subjective question. For some it might be the Chase Ritz-Carlton card because it's metal and weighs half a kilo LOL, for others it might be the Citi Double Cash for its easy across-the-board 2% cash back without needing any other banking/asset relationship, for some (like me) it may be combinations of cards that can work together to pool the most points in your preferred rewards program. So many possibilities!
With a 720, you have a decent shot at pretty much any card that you can directly apply for. What do you value most from a credit card? Cash back? Hotel points? Airline miles? Travel perks? Simplicity or maximizing reward value by putting in work?
