Update:
I received the card this Monday and have used it a few times with no problems
The literature that came wih the card states that payment is due on the 15th of every month and that I have 21 days to pay my bill...does that mean that I have 21 days AFTER the 15th?
Is the date that Chase Freedom reports its utilization to the CRAs the same date that statements are sent out or has it been determined to be a different (or varying) date? I plan on paying my balance weekly...is it better for my FICO score to leave some balance on the card at all times until the payment date? Also, is it more beneficial to be at or near 10% util on the card on the reporting day than it is to be at a lower %?
Finally, I set up my online account the day I got the card and sent a secured e-mail asking if my signup bonus could be increased to the $300 I saw advertised after I applied for the $100 bonus. Four hours later my account had been credited with 20,000 points ($200) without having to first spend the required $500 in 3 months. I thought that was some pretty nice customer service!
Thanks to everyone on this forum for the great info.
the balance that is posted to ur credit report comes from ur cc statement, not what u pay after ur statement, so pay it down to what u want it to post b4 the closing date
