Re: Blispay - Interesting FYI - TD Card Services

You can't use PayPal credit as backup funding for the debit card.  Only a bank account or PayPal Extras MasterCard can be picked.

Or Smart Connect.  Although they are soon converting customers to the PP Extras MC unless you opt out.  I guess I'll let them send me the MC, unless there's a reason not to.

Just a new account that is why they give you the option to opt out

Update - Approved

Just an update

Approved: 6k

All I wanted was the HP removed, but ended up with a 6k Credit Line after proving I am who I say I am.   So people that get BS unable to identify identity never give up.. HP removed from BBVA and approval from Blispay

Say WHAT?  You've gotta be *** kidding me.  Are you saying a lender-initiated PC to the Paypal Extras MC is going to be a different tradeline altogether, and associated AAoA hit???  If this is true, I'm going to opt out (if there's still time).  I'm having a hard time believing this.

So was talking with Blispay about something today got a call from them.  Had to fax them some stuff..  I looked up the Fax # and it belonged to TD Card Services...  Weird as I thought First Electronic Bank underwrote them..  For some reason TD Card services is involved as well.. Fax # was 706-649-4843..  Very strange wonder what role they play in this?  Do they fund first electronic bank possibly?  Very strange.

I did some digging to figure out what's up as I found this fascinating.  Utah's government filings for First Electronic Bank can be found Here.  The registered agent is Geri Allison who's also the General Counsel for First Electronic Bank.  That same page states that "First Electronic Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fry’s Electronics".

First Electronic likely uses TD's credit services division to handle all the nuts and bolts of application processing, statement issuing, and receivables (likely including collections).  First Electronic Bank would front the captial and pay a servicing fee for each account (likely a bulk rate).

The details of that partnership are very likely sealed under NDA's and CSA's but it's the likely process.

This is my understanding of it as it will be a MC starting with a number 5, so different tradeline... At least that is how I interrupt it.. Some others can ring in on this one.

Account numbers change all the time (lost/stolen).  First digits have changed from 5 to 4 in the past, or 3 to 5, without an entirely new tradeline.  The IIN will change on the Fido Amex takeover that's in progress and my understanding is that won't be a new TL.  I don't know how they do this at the CRAs, but it does get done.  Aside from confusing CreditKarma for a short while it all works out in the end.

I'd call Synchrony and ask, but that will just give me a made-up guess from some foreigner.  Argh.
