Not OP but yes the US Pride is an affinity version of the CR with same rewards structure just with a different image.
Exactly. Unlike regular CR and MLB though, it issues as a Visa. The unbeatable 2.2% at warehouse clubs isn't very useful on an MC at the moment if you're a Costco person.
This is a very interesting and versatile card. It's actually been on my radar for a while.
This is a 3% everything card for Online Retail Purchases (including eBay evidently) with no hoops to jump.
Since you are able to change the category once per month, you can perma-set it for Online Shopping, then: Suddenly you and the wife decide you want to replace your carpet with hardwood. Since you've been perma-set for Online Shopping for the past 4-5 months and want to replace the floors immediately, this card offers flexibility. You can hop online and change your category to Home Improvement instantly since you haven't used your "change category" for that particular month (let's say it's the 25th day of the month), then the next day go to the local home improvement store and buy your flooring with 3% CB (especially given that this would be a rather substantial spend). Then on the first day of the next month (approx. 5 days later) you can perma-set it right back to online shopping again.
Same circumstance for Travel: You decide to set up an all-inclusive cruise to the Bahamas 4 months in advance, etc....switch to Travel near the end of a month, make all your arrangements, then switch back to online shopping a couple days later at the beginning of the next month.
Given how broad the range is for the Online Shopping category, and the versatility of the card on a month-by-month basis, I'm surprised it doesn't get more attention.

I think mostly because of the caps. A large travel or home improvement purchase would blow through the cap for the entire quarter, for example. But it's certainly a good deal overall.

That's true, but in most cases people will split those costs between multiple cards. And this card's options can be altered to adjust for those circumstances. I just really like the flexibility the card offers, especially when everyone is digging for that "3% everything" card. Even though this is restricted to online retail shopping, I myself do at least 75% (if not more) of my retail shopping online these days and I would imagine most other people are migrating to the same thing.
